Housing: On site housing may be included on a full or part time basis, depending on applicants need
and site requirements.
Job Description:
Sumary:
Employee coordinates and performs activities engaged in maintaining site equipment, and site
facilities. Responsible for day to day activities of directing, controlling and coordinating all phases of
the Maintenance Department. Support facilities and equipment maintenance in an efficient manner.
Lead, develop, execute and support solutions to improve process system/energy performance, food
safety, and employee safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
General
* Directly supervises up to 3 employees for projects in the maintenance department.
Responsibilities include training employees for projects; planning, assigning and directing work;
appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
* Control expenditures within limitations of departmental and project budgets
* Establish and sustain effective relationships with all employees in order to foster an environment
where teamwork and innovation are used to solve problems.
* Comply with established sanitation and safety policies and procedures.
* May performs other duties as assigned or requested by site manager.
Maintenance-Related:
* Responsible for maintenance of all maintenance equipment, cold storage, and water system.
* Plans, schedules and monitors timely completion and documentation of work.
* Implements and manages preventative maintenance program
* Implements and manages parts and tool inventory program.
* Responsible for both interior and exterior building upkeep, repairs and remodeling, including
painting, roofing, electrical, plumbing, fire & other safety systems, refrigeration, and environmental
systems
* Maintenance of electrical, refrigeration and electronics.
* Ensure that all maintenance and outside contractors are in compliance with all federal and state
rules and regulations and fully meets contractual requirements
* Promotes and facilitates food and employee safety as a means to improve overall safety in the
facility
* Tests and maintains all machines.
* Prepares project proposals, budgets, specifications, implementation phases and communication
status reports. (Note: mostly verbal with Site Manager except on major projects.)
KNOWLEDGE /SKILLS/ /ABILITIES:
* 2 year technical degree and/or 5 years equivalent experience
* Demonstrated experience in implementing preventive/predictive maintenance systems
* Must have excellent organizational skills to ensure ability to organize plan and schedule
maintenance projects.
* Must have leadership, communication and project management skills
* Experienced in a team-oriented culture.
* Familiarity of the following systems desired: compressed air, pumps, piping systems, pneumatic /
power / basic electrical, and water systems.
* Demonstrated ability to engage, direct, coach, and train employees as well as plan, monitor and
scheduled work.
* Able to work in people oriented, hospitality industry environment, flexibility of duties based on last
minute demand with some travel as required for parts gathering, meetings and training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Good written and oral communication required with internal and external
contacts.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent as
needed for maintenance projects.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form. Ability to resolve problems that may arise within maintenance projects.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current driver's license and DMV report that meet the requirements for insurance agency.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer literacy including experience with word processors and spreadsheets helpful.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
The employee occasionally works in high, places requiring use of ladders. The employee often works
in outside weather conditions. Facility users may be present in the vicinity while work is taking place.
Ability to be flexible gracious and courteous with on site retreat participants while completing work is a
must.
